Keighley Aikido is an established, friendly club.
The aim of the club is to teach practical self-defence based on Aikido in a friendly and co-operative way.
Students practise at their own pace, as gently or aggressively as they like, and are encouraged to develop to the best of their individual abilities. Classes comprise both aerobic exercises and learning the various techniques in Aikido.
The club regularly attracts students from Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Burnley, Ilkley, Menston, and Skipton.
Welcome to our club
We have been established for over 10 years and we pride ourselves in being a family friendly club.
We teach both juniors and seniors and are part of the Jitsu Foundation, which is one of the largest and most successful Ju Jitsu forms in the UK.
We train hard but have plenty of fun along the way.
The club has won over 10 national and international competitions.
The first course is free, so do not hesitate to visit us to see if you like the atmosphere and what we are teaching.
Welcome to JKS Bradford
JKS Bradford is a non-profit organisation run by a team of volunteers. Started in 2002, we are the longest-established JKS club in the country.
Our instructor, who is DBS (CRB) vetted, has been training for nearly forty years and attained his dan grades (black belts) under top Japanese masters, including Kagawa Sensei.
The aims and objectives of the club are to foster, administer and advance the art of traditional Shotokan Karate.
Our goal is to teach, motivate, educate and guide our students and instructors while promoting exemplary ethics in Karate-Do. We do this through regular training of the highest order, grading events, special courses, and competitions for both junior and senior grades.
All sessions take place at Heaton Tennis and Squash Club
